My Response.

okay that SOUNDS serious but this is just my response to the lyriq music recommendations. Half of them were good half of them weren't for me so i'll focus on the good.

Return of Saturn (No Doubt, 2000)

Honestly I relate to a lot of the songs. Its really good. the track behind it and all of the lyrics and the vibe. very lover girl heart breaker, which i love. I've had majority of the songs on repeat since, and they're now on my main playlist.

Simple kind of life sounds really good, I love it

Six Feet Under has SUCH a good intro and yeah i do wake up in the morning too, so super relatable. its mainly just about living and dying, and how big of a loop it really is, and how inevitable it feels, especially on the birthday, which we just so happen to get one every year, hooray!

Magic's in the makeup is pretty relatable too. Nobody ever fully knows anyone, and this song talks about that. Mainly it sounds good. I don't like this as much as the others, but that's okay.

Artificial Sweetener sounds so good too. its about forcing love and I really feel that. Forcing love is SUCH a pain.

S-T-A-R-I-N-G yeah its amazing, I love Staring Problem. I think its because its a far harder, faster song than the others. Its a little relatable too I guess, but I stare at everyone so its not THAT crazy relatable. It really does encapsulate how it feels when you cant help but look at the one you love.

Home Now I can't really tell if its about long distance love or just not seeing your lover very often, but either way I really do like it.

Dark Blue sounds much darker than the others, about maybe dating someone whos gone through a lot, and wishing the best for them.

Honestly Return of Saturn reminds me of a more rock orientated the cardigans, which was the main reason I liked it. overall 9/10

Okay now skipping over the ones I didn't like as much.

Addison was hard to stick around for, the songs didn't really mesh with me very much at all. Not my kind of music at all. 4/10

Imaginary Disc was quite nice to listen to but nothing really stuck out to me. Like sure they sounded nice, but not enough to listen to again, or actively. 6/10

Fancy That is definitely far better than the two, but I can't necessarily comment on the songs. Its just, so iconic, yk? Everyone knows illegal, girl like me, stateside. I went in with the idea of new songs, and I guess maybe Romeo was new and good, but besides that I already know I like these songs. 7.5/10
When the Pawn... (1999)

Honestly this is a very dramatic album. Its got this dark depressed piano behind it. Her accent kinda puts me off a little, it makes me think of country a little, but thats just americans in general. It still sounds really good, but I only added two songs.

Limp sounds really good, I love the emotion behind the lyrics and how she sings. and the music behind it is SO good. It even has a solo, sort of, which we always love in music.

Fast As You Can is a far faster song, it sounds so good. I love how it flows and the melody is SO GOOD.

Majority of the songs have this theme of basically being crazy, I don't REALLY relate but some parts I guess I can, but yeah its a decent album so 8/10 for sure

Can't wait for everyone elses response to the recommendations. dont take too long

  1. very insightful, regretting reading this as now I'll have some bias when I listen, I hope that accent isn't too much
